in my dreams

last few days somehow or another i have not been sleeping well.. been disturbed by messy (my dog), the hose that burst just outside my window and the worst one, dreams...

for the past 2-3 days, i've been always dreaming about snakes.. snakes in my estate house.. all over my sitting room and my room.. its like everytime i dream about it, i'll wake up ad look around to see if they r here..

as a psychology student and a so called sigmund freud enthusiast, i believe dream plays a big part in one's psychological pathology.. its actually signifies alot of things and can be a repressed issue by our conscious mind.. so after doing some search i came out with these findings..

Snake
A snake, being the ages old symbol of evil or satan, makes it a bad omen to have one show up in a dream. To see a lone snake and feel threatened by it shows that you have a bad enemy that is even then working against you, it also a warning against bodily harm from an enemy. To dream of many snakes in a pit is the foreboding of much bad luck in love or business. Should you overcome and kill a threatening snake in your dream shows that you will overcome your adversary and win out.

Snake
To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.

Snake
In dreams, the significance of the snake is extremely varied. It also symbolizes man's instinctive drives. With young people, it may well be appropriate to interpret the snake sexually. In the dreams of older people and those in middle age, the snake mostly appears as a symbol of change and renewal. It can also appear as a danger signal.

Snakes Dream Meaning
Psychological Meaning: The snake is one of the world’s oldest symbols found in some of the most ancient sculptures. They are often used as phallic symbols and have long been linked with pagan fertility gods. Because it lives close to the ground, the snake is an emblem of the nurturing earth and also the unknown perils of the underworld. Christian imagery emphasises the dark side of this symbol. It is considered evil, yet it is the snake, created by God, that tempts man to gain knowledge. In dreams, a snake can represent hidden fears. Falling into a pit of snakes may represent the many worries that are threatening you. Sometimes snakes can symbolise the poisonous words and innuendo of the people around you.

i wonder if its some bomoh shit on me or something or is it me who's bit obsessed with snakes lately.. or maybe its just me feeling stress of work which i dont really feel.. can it be a warning from my unconscious that i might be out played by someone who's just waiting to snap at me??.. honestly.. i dont know.. but one thing i know i can do....
